You murdered them.
You may not have shot or stabbed them,
you may never go to prison for your wrong doings;
but your fallen promises of protecting our most precious treasure,
your hiding behind obligations to oil and profit,
Stole a generation,
with the false pretence that we could ever own them.
Stole their food,
what always belonged to them and never to us.
Stole their home,
polluted their ocean and destroyed their rivers.
Don’t forget their fallen bodies in the deep
where we can’t see the thousands of stab wounds
from decades of our ancestors betraying their land.
You murdered them,
And I will never forgive you.
